Nine days, kids! Just nine days until I’m officially a “Mrs”. Nine days from this moment I will be sipping on a peppermint mocha, hanging with the bridesmaids the best MOB evar, getting all beautified and giggly!

And so here are 13 things that I’m looking forward to on my wedding day – in just nine short days!

1. Beautification time with my gals!
2. Finally seeing everything come together
3. The dress, the tiara, the veil, the hair, the makeup and the little red surprises
4. Four words: Princess For The Day
5. Seeing my handsome Jimbo at the end of the aisle, looking debonair in his tux (omg, I’m getting all teary-eyed already!)
6. Becoming Mrs. Jimbo in front our closest friends and family
7. Hugs. Lots of them.
8. The transportation: A big yellow school bus! Retroriffic!
9. The weather: “partly cloudy in the 60’s” yay!
10. Free-flowing Champagne (only one glass an hour followed by water or club soda to ensure my enjoyment of the whole day
11. Seeing the room decorated and ready for the party
12. Watching everyone enjoy themselves
13. First dance with my new husband!

Monday didn’t start off well. I had a meeting with my boss at 8:30 where I learned that my contract with my current company will end at the end of March. It’s not like it’s a total surprise. It was a contract job. They end.

And just because I’m a glass is half-full kinda gal, I decided to list… 13 positive things that will result from my unemployment.

1. More time to plan the wedding and have fun with wedding crafts.
2. Exercise time is no longer a commodity; maybe I can drop a few pounds before the wedding.
3. No more alarm clock
4. Non-existent commute will save gas money
5. Crafts, crafts and more crafts!
6. Quality time with the chickens
7. I can finally read some of the books that are stacking up on my nightstand
8. Jimbo will get more home-cooked meals
9. Visits with stay-at-home-mom friends
10. Catching up on my DVR
11. Indulge my inner entrepreneur with freelance jobs and side projects (anyone need a new blog design or hand-made invitations?)
12. Rediscover my authentic self
13. Time to look for my dream job
